242 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT at recognized Medical School or Schools and one Winter Session and two Summer Sessions in one or other of the following way Attending the practice of Hospital or other Institution recognised by the College for that purpose Receiving instruction as the Pupil of legally qualified Practitioner holding any public appointment which affords opportunities satis- factory to the Examiners of imparting practical knowledge of Medicine Surgery or Midwifery Attending Lectures on any of the required subjects of professional study at recognised place of instruction VI Of having attended during three Winter Sessions and two Summer Sessions the Medical and Surgical practice at recognised Hospital or Hospitals and of having been engaged during six months in the Clinical study of Diseases peculiar to Women VII Of having studied the following subjects י ν τ-ν Two Winter Sessions Anatomy with Dissections During of Six Month-s each Two Winter Sessions Physiology of Six Months each Chemistry Six Months Practical Chemistry Three Months Materia Medica Three Months Practical Pharmacy Three Months Botany Three Month3 Two Winter Sessions Principles and Practice of Medicine of gix Month8 each It is desired that the study of the Principles and Practice of Medicine should comprise the study of the Principles of Public Health Morbid Anatomy Six Months Or certified attendance in the Post-Mortem Room during the period of Clinical Study Clinical Medicine Two Winter and Two Clinical Surgery Summer Sessions The attendance on Clinical Lectures must not commence until after the first Winter Session By Clinical Medicine and Clinical Surgery are intended Lectures on Cases under observation or special Instruction at the bed-side certified by the Teacher Principles and Practice of Surgery Two Winter Sessions Midwifery and the Diseases of Women Three Months Certificate must also be produced of having attended not less than twenty Labours Forensic Medicine Three Months VIII Of having passed the Profeesi mal Examinations Any Candidate who shall produce satisfactory evidence of having passed an Examination on Anatomy and Physiology conducted by any of the Bodies named in Schedule to the Medical Act and recognised by the College as
