196 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT under the superintendence of the Physicians of the Obstetric Department Special Ward has been appropriated to the reception of Children Practical Instruction in Dental Surgery is given three times week by the Surgeon Dentist and his Assistants at the Hospital Clinical Instruction in Diseases of the Eye and Ophtbsl- moscopic Demonstrations are given in the Wards and in the Out-Patient Department of the Hospital by the Ophthalmic Surgeon Clinical Lectures upon Ophthalmology are also given in the Theatre of the Hospital once week during the Winter Session Clinical Instruction in Diseases of tbe Throat and Larvngo- scopic Demonstrations are given once week by Dr Johnson Shin Diseases -Clinical Instruction in these Diseases is given every Friday in the Out-Patient Department of the Hospital by Dr Duffin Morbid Anatomy -Demonstrations and Practical Instruction in Morbid Anatomy are given by tbe Physicians Surgeons and Pathological Registrar in the Post-mortem Theatre of the Hospital Vaccination -Arrangements have been made by which Students may have Practical Instruction and Certificates is Vaccination by the payment of small fee Medical Cliemistry and the Microscope -Special Instruction is given in these subjects in the Wards of tbe Hospital and in the Theatre by tbe Physicians Resident Medical Officers Clinical Clerks and Dressers -The Physician'8-Assistant House Surgeon and Physician-Ac coucheur's Assistant the Assistant Officers Clinical Clerks and Dressers are all chosen by examination from those Matriculated Students who are pnpils of the Hospital Ste- dents are thus constantly engaged in tbe practical work of the Hospital Registrars -A permanent record of every case received into tbe Wards of Kind's College Hospital is kept by the Medical and Surgical Registrars
