150 applied sciences XIII Students are to keep to their own work and not to walk about the shops so as to be in the way or to hinder other Students when at work XIV No Student can be admitted into the Workshops at any other hours than those mentioned in the Time Table without previous permission of the Dean of the Department as well as that of the Superintendent This sanction will only be given on condition that the Applicant is not thereby neglect- ing other duties in the College No Student can however be permitted to occupy the time of or have any assistance from the Workmen out of the regular hours of attendance named in the Calendar The infringement of this Rule by any Student will have the effect of causing him to be entirely shut out from the Workshops during the period not specified in the Calendar for regular attendance III regulations respecting students The days fixed for tbe admission of new Students in the Academical Year 1869-70 are Tuesday October Wednesday January 26 and Wednesday April 20 An examination of all new Students takes place on their 'oining the College in Euclid Books II Arithmetic and Elementary Algebra including Simple Equations with the view of ascertaining that they are sufficiently advanced to enable them to take advantage of the College classes The Principal and Professors have the power of sending back for time any who may be considered disqualified for admission The regular work of the Term will begin on Thursday October Thursday January 27 and Thursday April 21 on which days all old Student must be present at 10 unless special leave of absence is obtained beforehand from the Principal The Opening Service on Thursday October will be at 11 30
