90 general literature and science No Scholar on the Inglis Foundation can afterwards obtain Prize in the same subject as that for which he gains the Scholarship Subjects for Lectures on the English Language and Literature and Modern History 1868-69 Senior Division General History of Europe commencing with the reign of George III and review of the condition of English Literature during the latter half of the eighteenth century Special The Life and Writings of Burke Junior Division English History English Grammar Every Student is expected to procure Professor Brewer's "Atlas of History and Geography Books of reference are recommended from time to time and are provided in the College Library VI VII French and German Lectures are given- In French on Monday and Thursday from to In German on Tuesday and Friday from to Special Instruction is also given from to 30 to those wishing for additional time at these subjects An extra German Class will also be formed on Tuesdays and Fridays between the hours of and to meet the con- venience of those Students on whom the study of German is not obligatory and who may be prevented from attending the general class Fee 21 2s per term 51 5s per annum The German subjects selected for the Matriculation Ex- aminations at the London University will form part of the readings in the Senior Division viz before Christmas Halm's Griseldis Acts -III and after Ohristmas Goethe's Egmont The latter is the German subject for the Warneford Scholarship Examination for 1869
