THE SCHOOL 359 The Examiner can withhold the Prize from any Division if no boy in that Division should exhibit satisfactory know- ledge of his subjects and such Prize may be awarded to any meritorious boy in another Division IV PRIZES IN MODERN LANGUAGES IN FRENCH Seven Prizes are awarded every Term for proficiency in French one to the best boy in the First Class of each French division II IN GERMAN Six Prizes are awarded each Term for proficiency in German one to the best Scholar in the Classical Division of the School and five to the Modern Division viz Two to the best scholar in the 1st and in the 3d German Sections respectively of the Upper and Lower Sixth Classes taken together One to the Upper Fifth and Lower Fifth Classes together One to the Upper and Lower Fourth together One to the Upper and Lower Remove together The names of the best boy in each of the Lower Classes will be honourably mentioned at the Terminal Distribution of Prizes No boy can obtain the same French or German Prize twice except the highest and that not twice in the same Academical year ADDITIONAL PRIZES IN LATIN Six Prizes are given each Term for proficiency in Latin one to each of the following Classes of the Modern Division of the School viz the Upper Fifth Lower Fifth Upper Fourth Lower Fourth Upper Remove and Lower Remove
