4S annual report The following Honours have been gained at the Universities by Pupils of the School Cambridge Galliers Thomas Caius 12th Wrangler Wather8ton Alexander Law Emm 21st Wrangler Bodkin Alfred Arthur King's 26th Wrangler Hall George Thomas 36th Wrangler and Second-class Classic Oxford Saintsbury George Ε 2d Class in Final Schools Sweeting Henry Edwards 2d Class in Moderations London Rollit Albert Kaye Gold Medal at Degree of Doctor of Laws During the past year the Council have received from the Executors of the late Robert Forest Esq the munificent sum of £3 000 Consols duty paid bequeathed by that gentleman on the death of his wife to the Governors and Proprietors of King's College London as fund for the specific purpose of providing Scholarships for meritorious pupils educated at the School known as King's College School in connexion with the said College The regulations under which these Scholarships are to be awarded have just been issued by the Council and they cannot hut express their hearty thankfulness for the kindness which placed at their disposal these additional rewards for merit They are well aware how much they are indebted in this matter to Mr Bransby William Powys of 38 Russell Square tablet commemorative of Mr Forest's bequest is imme- diately to be placed in one of the corridors The Evening Class Department has during the Winter Session just closed risen to higher number than it has ever reached before there being now in it 674 students of whom 90 are Matriculated Among the numerous subjects taught in this
