ANNUAL REPORT At the University of Edinburgh Gould Franklin Gold Medal for Thesis at Graduation for At Apothecaries Hall Lawson Marmaduke Alexander Silver Medal and Books in Botany No change has taken place during the last year in the senior Medical appointments of theCollege or Hospital but the office of Curator of the Anatomical Museum and Pathological Registrar having become vacant by the resignation of Dr Conway Evans and about the same time also the office of Surgical Registrar to King's College Hospital by the resigna- tion of Mr Bellamy the Council were enabled to re- consider the conditions and duties of all these appointments This resulted in the separation of the office of Curator of the Museum from that of Pathological Registrar The duties hitherto performed by the Pathological Registrar are trans- ferred to the Medical and Surgical Registrars The Council appointed Dr Henry Trimen Curator of the Anatomical Museum Dr Charles Kelly Medical Registrar and Mr Hutchinson Royes Bell Surgical Registrar All these gentlemen were formerly distinguished Matriculated Students of the Medical Department This new arrangement has now been in work for three months and so far has succeeded admirably Dr Edmund Alleyne Cook has been appointed Curator of the Chemical Laboratory in the room of Mr Edward Ash Hadow deceased King's College Hospital has continued its career of extended usefulness In the last year 914 In-patients and 37 153 Out-patients received relief in this institution in addition to 148 poor married women who were confined in the Nightingale Ward and 732 who were attended at their own houses
