246 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT Every Candidate whose attendance on Lectures shall commence on or after the 1st of October 1863 must attend the following Lectures and Medical Prac- tice during not less than three Winter and three Summer Sessions each Winter Session to consist of not less than six months and to commence not sooner than the 1st nor later than the 15th of October and each Summer Session to extend from the 1st of May to the 31st of July first tear Winter SeMiion -Chemistry Anatomy and Physiology Dissections Summer Session Materia Medica and Therapeutics Botany Practical Chemistry second tear Winter Session -Anatomy Physiology Dissections Principles and Practice of Medicine Clinical Medical Practice Summer Session Clinical Medical Practice Midwifery and Diseases of Women and Children with attendance on cases not less than 20 Forensic Medicine and Toxicology third tear Winter Session -Clinical Medical Lectures Clinical Medical Practice Principles and Practice of Medicine Morbid Anatomy Summer Session -Practical Midwifery and Vaccination Morbid Anatomy Clinical Medical Practice The above course of study may be extended over longer period than three Winter and three Summer Sessions provided the Lectures and Medical Practice are attended in the order prescribed These gentlemen whose attendance on Lectures commenced before the 1st of October 1863 will be allowed to complete their studies in conformity with the previous Regulations 0Γ the Court Registration of Testimonials All Certificates must be given on printed Schedule and signed by the respective Lecturers Students will be supplied with Schedules at the time of their first Registration in London at this Hall and in the Provincial Towns by the Registrars of the Medical Schools All Students are required personally to Register the several Tickets of Admission to Lectures and Medical Practice within the first fifteen days of the months of October and May By Practical Chemistry is meant specific Course of Instruction in the Laboratory with an opportunity of Personal Manipulation in the ordinary Pro- cesses of Chemistry and of acquiring knowledge of the various Re-agents for Poisons Certificate of such attendance will be received from legally qualified Practitioner Certificate of attendance on not less than 20 cases will be received from λ legally qualified Practitioner
