194 medical department under the superintendence of the Physicians of the Obstetric Department Special Wards have been appropriated to the reception of Lying-in Women and for Children Practical Instruction in Dental Surgery is given three times week by the Surgeon Dentist and his Assistants at the Hospital Clinical Instruction in Diseases of the Eye and Ophthal- moscopic Demonstrations are given in the Wards and in the Out-Patient Department of the Hospital by the Ophthalmic Surgeon Clinical Lectures upon Ophthalmology are also given in the Theatre of the Hospital once week during the Winter Session Clinical Instruction in Diseases of the Throat and Laryngo- scopic Demonstrations are given once week by Dr Johnson Skin Diseases -Clinical Instruction in these Diseases is given every Friday in the Out-Patient Department of the Hospital by Dr Duffin Morbid Anatomy -Demonstrations and Practical Instruction in Morbid Anatomy are given by the Physicians Surgeons and Pathological Registrar in the Post-mortem Theatre of the Hospital Medical Chemistry and the Microscope -Special Instruction is given in these subjects in the Wards of the Hospital and in the Theatre by the Physicians Resident Medical Officers Clinical Clerks and Dressers -The Physieiari's-Assistant House Surgeon and Physician-Ac- coucheur's Assistant the Assistant Officers Clinical Clerks and Dressers are all chosen by examination from those Matriculated Students who are pupils of the Hospital Stu- dents are thus constantly engaged in the practical work of the Hospital Registrars -A permanent record of every case received into the Wards of King's College Hospital is kept by the Medical and Surgical Registrars Section the associateship At the end of each Winter Session the Professors lay before the Council the names of those Medical Students
