152 APPLIED SCIENCES At the beginning of every term each Student must take his card of admission to the Dean to be countersigned and registered There are examinations at the end of the Michaelmas and Ea3ter Terms when the Students are classed according to pro- ficiency The examination in June is followed hy public distribution of Prizes detailed report is sent at the end of each term to the pa- rents or guardians of each Student both as to his progress and as to his general attention and good conduct during the term In case of Student being absent from the College without permission from the Principal or without notice being sent to the Secretary letter is immediately addressed to the parent or guardian notifying the fact The General Library is open daily to all Students for the purposes of study See Regulations page 363 limited number of Students are admitted to reside within the College see page 364 and some of the Gentlemen con- nected with this Department receive Students into their houses See page 367 Dinner is provided in the College Hall every day at Six o'clock for such Students as may wish to avail themselves of that accommodation See page 368 II Occasional Students or those who being unable to attend the whole Course are desirous of studying any par- ticular subject Every Class is open to such Students on payment of the specified amount of fees The Fees payable by Matriculated Students amount to 13 13s per Term for the first six Terms including the Workshops and 14 13$ after the sixth Term Upon entrance the Fees for the first two Terms must be paid in advance in addition to the following Section IV FEES Matriculation Fees Library Cap and Gown The Calendar
