52 FORM OF BEQUEST TO KING'S COLLEGE LONDON "7 give to the Corporation of the 'Governors and Pro- prietors of King's College London' the Sum of Pounds for the general purposes of the said Corporation or for the foundation of Scholar- ships and Prizes open to the whole College or limited to any particular Department to be paid exclusively out of such part of my Personal Estate as can lawfully charge therewith and desire that the said Sum of Pounds be paid free of all deductions to the Treasurer for the time being of the said Corporation whose Receipt shall be full and sufficient discharge for the same EXTRACT FROM THE CHARTER OF KING'S COLLEGE LONDON "That the Council shall have the power to accept on behalf of the said College gifts and endowments for promot- ing particular objects of education or otherwise in aid of the general purposes of the College on such terms and conditions as may be agreed on for the purpose between the Council and the person bestowing such gifts or endowments The Council will be glad to receive under the fore- going clause of their Charter any sum that may be offered to them for the endowment in whole or in part of any Scholar- ship or Professorship Information may be obtained from the Principal or the Secretary as to the particular Endowments most needed by the College and as to the best regulations to be enacted for securing the objects of the Donor
