ANNUAL REPORT 49 term for payments to be made to Professors in the following Lent Term together with some other similar items had prevailed for so many years indeed as the Secretary believes since the opening of the College accounts as to cause the omission to be overlooked This omission has been rectified in the accounts now presented and if unexplained would lead to an erroneous conclusion It is clear that payments to be made in coming year even though not shown in the Accounts were at the close of each former year as real liabilities as they are now when they appear in the Balance Sheet In closing their Annual Report the Council once more acknowledge with the deepest thankfulness the full measure in which the Divine blessing has during thirty-five years rested upon the College and they trust that the future labours of all to whom the sacred trust of Education is committed may from year to year be blessed in like manner to God's glory in the furtherance of true religion and sound learning
