46 annual report not but deeply regret that an unendowed Hospital dependent entirely upon voluntary contributions situated in miserably poor and crowded parish whose rates it reduces by the admis- sion annually within its walls of nearly 300 In-patients and 000 Out-patieuts who otherwise must have had recourse to the Workhouse Infirmary should nevertheless have been rated to the support of the Poor and they trust that some altera- tion may before long be made in the law which now renders it liable to this charge The expenses of the Hospital are now increased to £9 000 per annum sum calling loudly if not alarmingly for the continued exertions of all who are interested in its welfare The Court will unite with the Council in feeling that vast debt of gratitude is due to the Vice-Chairman of last year Robert Pryor Esq and to the Committee of Manage- ment who have undertaken so serious responsibility The Report of King College School is satisfactory assurances being constantly received from parents both while their sons are under tuition and on quitting the School that they are satisfied with their improvement This applies to both Divisions of the School The following former Pupils have received Honours at Oxford Sakbbuby George Ε Β clasai &t Moderations Lyall Charles James Richards Franklin Classical Scholar of King's College School of last year an open Scholarship at Queen's College Sweetixg Henry Edward an open Scholarship at Pembroke At Cambridge Christie William Henry Scholarship at Trinity College Rhind George Bruce Tancred Scholarship at Christ's College Bazalqette Edward direct Commission at Woolwich
