90 GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE VI VII French and German Lectures are given- In French on Monday and Thursday from to In German on Tuesday and Friday from to Special Instruction is also given from to 30 to those wishing for additional time at these subjects An extra German Class will also be formed on Tuesdays and Fridays between the hours of and to meet the con- venience of those Students on whom the study of German is not obligatory and who maybe prevented from attending the general class Fee 21 2s per term 51 5s per annum The German subjects selected by the London University for the Matriculation Examination in 1866 will form part of the reading in the German Class in case any of the Students intend to take German as one of their subjects II Students of the First Year those who have not kept three Terms are required to attend the Lectures of the Professor of French Students of the Second Year those ho have kept three but not six Terms are required to attend the Lectures of the Professor of German Students who have kept six Terms are required to attend either French or German at the option of their Parents or Guardians III In case of any Student being desirous from any cause to attend French instead of German or German instead of French out of the regular course this privilege will be granted by the Principal but an additional fee of li per Term or 21 12 6d for the Year must be paid if it is wished to attend both languages in the same Term IV At the examination in June Prize of Books and Certificate of Honour are if merited given to the first and
