252 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT An Examination established by any of the Bodies named in Schedule of the Medical Act and approved by the Medical Council After September 1865 the Preliminary Examination in the subjects of General Education will cease to be conducted at the College and no other testimonials of proficiency than those granted by the National Educational Bodies will after that date he accepted as proof of sufficient general education The Professional Examination Every Candidate before he is admitted to Examination will be required to sign Declaration stating whether he has or has not been rejected within Three months by any of the Examining Boards included in Schedule of the Medical Act The Examination is divided info two parts The First Part or Primary Examination will be conducted as follows On the First day Evening from Seven to Ten by written questions on Anatomy and Physiology Second day Afternoon from One to Four by written questions on Chemistry Materia Medica and Practical Pharmacy Evening commencing at Seven o'clock viva voce on the subjects stated above The Second Part or Pass Examination will be conducted as follows On the First day Evening from Seven to Ten by written questions on The Principles and Practice of Medicine Second day Morning-The Candidate's practical knowledge will be tested by requiring him to examine persons labouring under disease either at the College or in the Medical Wards of Hospital Evening from Seven to Ten by written questions on Midwifery and The Diseases peculiar to Women and on The Principles and Practice of Surgery Third day Morning-The Candidate's practical knowledge will he tested by requiring him to examine persons labouring under disease in the Surgical Wards of Hospital Evening commencing at Seven o'clock viva voce on the subjects stated above Examinations of Candidates for follows First Part commencing Tuesday February 7th Tuesday April 4th Tuesday June 6th Tuesday July 4th Tuesday October 3d Tuesday December 5th the College Licence will take place as 1865 Second Part commencing Tuesday February 14th Tuesday April 11th Tuesday June 13th Tuesday July 11th Tuesday October 10th Tuesday December 12th
