164 applied sciences Arts of Construction Manufacturing Art Practical Course Surveying Mineralogy and Geology Drawing To the first in order in each of the above Courses will be awarded Scholarship of £25 To each of those next in order deserving such distinction Certificate of Approval Separate Class Prizes and Certificates of Approval are given for the several subjects in which Second-year Students are examined The Scholars of the year are not eligible for these Prizes These Scholarships Prizes and Certificates are open to all Matriculated Students of this Department who are at least in their fourth Term but who have not exceeded seven Terms either in this Department or in this Department and in that of General Literature taken together These two Scholarships are tenable together The payments will commence in the October succeeding the election and will be continued quarterly during one year pro- vided the Scholar has become an Associate of King's College London from this Department see Section IV Rule II £ or shall during the three months preceding each Quarter-day the months of July August and September excepted have continued to attend lectures as Matriculated Student of the College These Scholarships will not be given after 1866 fF irst Year Separate Class Prizes and Certificates of Approval are given for the several subjects in which First-year Students are examined These Prizes and Certificates will be open to all Matri- culated Students of this Department who are at least in their second Term but who have not exceeded four Terms either in
