applied sciences 153 No Student can however be permitted to occupy the time of or have any assistance from the Workmen out of the regular hoars of attendance named in the Calendar The infringement of this Rule by any Student will have the effect of causing him to be entirely shut out from the Workshops during the period not specified in the Calendar for regular attendance Section III regulations respecting students Γ The days fixed for the admission of new Students in the Academical year 1805-6 are Tuesday October January 23 and April 10 There will be an examination of all new Students in Euclid Books II Arithmetic and Elementary Algebra including Simple Equations on the following day The regular work of the Term will begin on Thursday October January 25 and April 12 on which days all old Students must be present in Chapel at 10 am unless special leave of absence is obtained from the Principal The Students received into this Department are- Matriculated Students or those admitted to the regular and full prescribed course of study Each Candidate for Matriculation must produce testi- monial of good character from his last instructor and when admitted by the Principal he must subscribe his name to declaration that he will conform to all the rules and regulations which may from time to time be prescribed for the good government of the College under the sanction and authority of the Council Matriculated Students are required to attend regularly the College Chapel and the Chaplain's Divinity lectures they must wear the Academical cap and gown within the precincts of the College and are required to attend with perfect regu- larity the lectures of their several years Leave of absence
