352 THE SCHOOL the College in exchange for which he will receive card of admission for that Term Upon entering the Sixth Class each Pupil is called upon to contribute Ten Shillings to the School Library The Principal has practice of requesting each Pupil of the School on entering his third Term to contribute the sum of It towards the expense of the restoration of the College Chapel and this sum will be found in the accounts Section books All books in use in King's College School are the property of the College and are supplied to the boys on loan from the Secretary's Office Each boy except those in the Upper Sixth Class is entitled to the use of full set of the books in ordinary use in his Class In the Upper Sixth Class Pupil3 retain the use of such books as they received in the Lower Sixth but no others are supplied to them except on payment The following are the rules and regulations under which such books are lent Each Pupil will be held responsible for the due care and safe keeping of the books supplied to him All books supplied to Pupils remain the sole property of the Council of King's College London and are on no account to be lent or made use of except for College purposes Whenever from changing Classes or other cause any book is no longer required it is to be at once returned to the Secretary If book is lost the Pupil is required to apply to the Master of his Class for another copy and is on no account permitted to purchase copy out of the College Duplicate copies will be supplied at three- fourths of the booksellers' original price
