ANNUAL REPORT 51 away but true principles never change Thus far each generation of Teachers has in succession carried on the same work in the same spirit as their predecessors and so long as this is the case there is nothing presumptuous in hoping that by God's grace there may never be wanting in King's College London due supply of faithful men qualified to illustrate and expand the principle of her foundation the pursuit of all innocent secular knowledge in subordination to the eternal verities of the Christian faith and in union with the holiness of the Christian life
