168 APPLIED SCIENCES To each of those next in order deserving such distinction Certificate of Approval Separate Prizes will be given for Divinity for Manu- facturing Art for Drawing for Surveying for the Workshop and for Fortification The Scholarship Prizes and Certificates will be open to all Matriculated Students of this Department who are at least in their second Term but who have not exceeded four Terms either in this Department or in this Department and in that of General Literature taken together The Scholarship will also be open to all Pupils of King's College School or of one of the Schools in union with the College who have been two years in such School and have attained the age of sixteen Such candidates however if successful must immediately matriculate at the College The payments will commence in the October succeeding the election and will be continued quarterly during one year pro- vided the Scholar during the three months preceding each Quarter-day the months of July August and September excepted has continued to attend lectures as Matriculated Student of the College No Scholarship Prize or Certificate will be given except for absolute merit Certificates of having obtained College prize made out nnder the signatures of the Principal and Secretary may be obtained by application at the College Office Fee for each Certificate 2s 6d Section VIII Names of those elected Scholars of King's College from this Department 184 Whitcombe Henry Senior Scholar Welle George Junior Scholar 1847 Lawson William Norton Spencer Charles Innes Senior Scholar Junior Scholar
