applied sciences 155 II -MILITARY SECTION This Section of the Applied Sciences Department is in- tended- For those Gentlemen intending το compete in the Examinations for admission into the Royal Military Academy at Woolwich the Royal Military College at Addiscombe or tee Royal Military College at Sand- hurst or to pass the examination for commissions in the Service of Her Majesty either in England or in the East Indies The course of instruction includes- Divinity Mathematics Chemistry Natural Philosophy Mineralogy and Geology Geometrical Drawing Fortification French Students are also constantly examined with the view of keeping up their knowledge of Classics and History For Officers wishing to prepare themselves for the Examination for Staff Appointments or to com- pete for admission into the Royal Military College at Sandhurst The course of instruction includes- Professional Mathematics Military History and Geography French Fortification and Artillery Military Drawing and Surveying Military Law The different Classes are conducted by the following Pro- fessors and Lecturers Religious Instruction -ן Mineralogy and Geology Geometrical Drawing by the Rev Joseph Edgar late Lieut Lecturer Mathematics Chemistry Natural Philosophy For Particulars on these Subjects see 130 and seq
