202 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT Medical Student from competing for the Medical Scholar- ships with Students of the same standing in the Medical Department as himself Section XII Uaniell £cf 01ansf ip This Scholarship has been founded in honour of the late Daniell Esq Professor of Chemistry in this College Its object is to encourage the prosecution of original research in Chemistry This Scholarship is of the annual value of 20 and is tenable for two years It is given every second year and is open to every Student of the College whether matriculated or occasional It is awarded to the Student who shall have executed the best series of researches in the Laboratory of King's College during the two years immediately preceding the election for six months of which time he must have been pupil in the Laboratory The next Scholarship will be awarded at Easter 1862 The Papers of all Candidates must be placed in the hands of the Secretary by four o'clock on Monday March 24 1862 after which time no document will be received Section XIII Clje principal's Stephen plumptre anlr Hasent prijes These prizes are open to all Matriculated Students not being Associates of this Department See pp 97-99 ill prije Dr Walter Battershell Gill an Associate of this Department gives an Annual Prize in books of the value of SI 3s to the Student who stands next in order of merit after the successful candidates for the Junior Medical Scholarships Section XIV Class Prijes College Clinical prijes Certificates of honour iHerit an& attendance Prizes are awarded for proficiency in the several subjects of Anatomy Physiology Chemistry Materia Medica Surgery
