83 GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE II Snuot ct 0Iar6t ij Two in each year of£4Q each tenable for Two Tears These Scholarships are open to all Matriculated Students of this Department not being Associates either from this De- partment or that of the Applied Sciences who are at least in their seventh Term but who have not exceeded nine Terms either in this Department or in this Department and in that of the Applied Sciences taken together One Scholarship is given for proficiency in Classics and the other for proficiency in Mathematics All Candidates for these Scholarships must have passed satisfactorily the terminal Examination held at the preceding Christmas in every one of the subjects prescribed for the regular work of this Department including French or German This rule will apply even in the case of Student exempted by the Principal from attendance on any course of Lectures These two Scholarships are tenable together The payments will commence in the October succeeding the election and will be continued quarterly over two years provided the Scholar has become an Associate of King Col- lege London or shall during the three months preceding each Quarter-day the months of July August and September excepted have continued either to attend lectures as Ma- triculated Student of the College or to pursue his studies at the University of Oxford Cambridge or Durham For further particulars see page 67 III JWrtitrle yrf 0Iarsl i5e Two in each year of £30 each tenable for One Tear These Scholarships are open to all Matriculated Students of this Department who are at least in their fourth Term but who have not exceeded six Terms either in this Department or in
