the school 265 Section rules as to the admission of pupils Every person wishing to place Pupil in the School must produce to the Head Master certificate of good conduct signed by his last instructor New Pupils will be admitted at the commencement of each Term viz in 1859-60 on Tuesday September 20 Tues- day January 24 and Wednesday May All boys above the Second Clas3 the first and second classes being common to both Divisions will be placed in whichever Division their parents or guardians shall select Pupils may at any time upon the special application of the Parent or Guardian to the Head Master be moved from one Division to the other Pupils leaving Schools the summer holidays of which begin early in June are admitted to this School on and after the 15th of June in each year for the remaining half of the current Term on payment of one-half the amount of Fees which is charged for whole Term Pupils so admitted take their summer vacation at the same time with King's College School and parents are not subject to the inconvenience of the double holiday The half term however is not permitted to count in reckoning up the time Pupil has been in the School with the view of his becoming candidate for the Scholarships New Pupils are also admitted for the half term in the middle of the Michaelmas and Lent terms The general age for admission is from nine to sixteen years of age Section VI hours of attendance The duties of each day commence with Prayers and the read- ing of the Scriptures in the College Chapel from which none of the Pupils are allowed to absent themselves without the special permission of the Head Master
