medical department 159 Students desirous of devoting further time to the pursuits of Practical Chemistry may also become Pupils in the Laboratory under the superintendence of the Professor and of the Demonstrator of Chemistry by entering themselves at the Secretary's Office For the principal subjects to which atteii- tion is given see 148 For Fees see 165 The Laboratory is open daily from 10 till except on Saturdays when it closes at Section regulations respecting students The Students received into this Department are- Matriculated Students or those who receive their entire medical education at King's College Each Candidate for Matriculation must produce testi- monial of good moral character and when admitted by the Principal must subscribe his name to Declaration that he will conform to all such Rules and Regulations as may from time to time be made for the good government of the College under the sanction and authority of the Council Matriculated Students are required to attend regularly the College Chapel and the Divinity Lectures by the Chaplain or the Principal they must wear the Academical cap and gown within the precincts of the College except in the Dissecting Room and are required to attend with perfect regularity the lectures of their year Leave of absence can be obtained from the Sub-Dean of the Medical Department alone to whom in case of sickness or other unavoidable cause of non- attendance written notice is to be immediately sent Matriculated Students are alone eligible as Clinical Clerks Students who come to King's College from other Medical Schools and take the whole of their remaining education at King's College are also allowed to Matriculate They will not however be permitted to compete for the Scholar- ships or for the Warneford and Leathes Prizes nor to hold Hos-pital Appoint- ments unless they have paid the lull amount of fees required for perpetual attendance
