174 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT The Medical examinations for these Scholarships will begin on Monday March 21 1859 The names of Candidates must be sent in writing to the Secretary of the College before four o'clock on Monday March 14 after which hour no names trill be received The following are the Subjects of the Medical Examination Senior Scholarship Medicine Surgery Midwifery Forensic Medicine Anatomy Physiology The Examination Papers in Medicine and Surgery will comprise questions on cases which have occurred in the Wards of the Hospital during the Winter Session Junior Scholarships Anatomy of the Bones Muscles and Ligaments and of the Viscera of the Abdomen and Thorax General Anatomy and Physiology of the Organs of Loco- motion Digestion and Circulation Inorganic Chemistry Heat and Static Electricity Cicero de Officiis Second-Tear Scholarship Anatomy Physiology Organic Chemistry Light Electricity Botany Materia Medina -Attendance on Course or Courses of Lectures on Botany or Chemistry by Pupil of any other Department of the College whether Matriculated or Occasional does not prevent such Pupil if he afterwards enter as Medical Student from competing for the Medical Scholarships with Students of the same standing in the Medical Department as himself
