MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 151 the Worshipful Company of Apothecaries by the late Sir Halford Bart by Messrs Savory Moore and Messrs Howard The Collections of Mineralogy and Geology are extensive and contain examples of the different formations with selection of the most characteristic fossils belonging to each valuable collection of Fossils consisting chiefly of bones of Mammalia and Reptilia from Perim Island in the Gulf of Cambay has been presented by Albermarle Bettington Esq of the Bombay Civil Service The Botanical Collections comprising Rottler's Indian Herbarium which has been considerably enlarged by addi- tions from Dr Royle and Dr Wallich are especially rich The Zoological Department includes Collections of Animals Birds Ueptiles Fish Shells Insects Corals &c selected for the purpose of exhibiting the different forms existing in nature Admission of Students The Anatomical Museum is open daily except on Satur- days from 11 till to Medical Students only The Museums of Materia Medica Natural History &c are open daily except on Saturdays from 11 till to Medical Students and Students in the Department of Applied Sciences Every facility however is afforded to those who wish to remain for longer period in the Museums for the purpose of study Students wishing to examine and handle any of the pre- parations must obtain printed form for such permission which must be signed by the Dean of the Department Admission of Strangers The attendants will be happy to show the Museums at any time between 10 and to strangers presenting the card of any gentleman connected with the College
