general literature and science 83 the Secretary letter is immediately addressed to the parent or guardian notifying the fact The General Library is open daily to all Students for the purposes of study See Regulations page 261 limited number of Students are admitted to reside within the College see page 262 and some of the Professors as well as others connected with the College receive Students in their own houses See page 265 Dinner is provided in the College Hall every day at Six o'clock for such Students as may wish to avail themselves of this accommodation See page 266 II Occasional Students or those who being unable to attend the whole course are desirous of studying any par- ticular subject Every class is open to such Students on payment of the specified amount of fees See page 84 Section III THE ASSOCIATESHIP Students who have pursued their studies in this Depart- ment with credit for nine Terms who have been regular in their attendance at Chapel and at the Divinity Lectures are entitled to be recommended to the Council for election as Associates of King's College II It will suffice that Student applying for the Associate- ship shall have passed six Terms in the Department to which he belongs at the time of his application provided he have passed three Terms previously in any other Department of the College III The term of study in the College required to gain the Associateship from the Department of General Literature and Science is reduced to six Terms in the case of those Students who have previously passed two years either in King's College School or in one of the Schools in Union and who had passed at least one Term in the highest class of that School before leaving it IV Students of this Department who have obtained the Di- ploma of an Associate are in addition to the usual privileges of Associates see 287 entitled to enter the Theological
