THE SCHOOL 237 The after the Third Class Scholarships applies also to this Scholarship jfitti Class Srfiolarsljtp One Scholarship each year of&l tenable for two years This Scholarship is open to all Pupils who having been two complete Terms in the School were not thirteen years of age on the 1st of January preceding the Election The after the Third Class Scholarships applies also to this Scholarship St'xttj Class SrSoIarsSip One Scholarship each year of £6 tenable for two years This Scholarship is open to all Pupils who having been two complete Terms in the School were not twelve years of age on the 1st of January preceding the Election The Ν after the Third Class Scholarships applies also to this Scholarship The subjects of examination are given out at the commence- ment of each Summer Vacation The Examinations take place at the beginning of the Lent Term in each year and the names of the successful Candidates will be announced within fourteen days These Scholarships can be held so long as Pupil remains in the School or so long as he pursues his studies at King's College or at either of the Universities of Oxford or Cambridge Any Pupil holding Junior Scholarship resigns the same in the event of his obtaining one of higher class All Pupils who have been two years in the School and who have attained the age of sixteen are entitled to stand for the Junior Scholarships in the Department of General Literature and Science and in the Department of the Applied Sciences such candidates however if successful must immediately matriculate at the College
