medical department in Section XII Saniell Scfjolarsljip This Scholarship has been founded in honour of the late Daniell Esq Professor of Chemistry in this College Its object is to encourage the prosecution of original research in Chemistry This Scholarship is of the annual value of 201 and is tenable for two years It is given every second year and is open to every Student of the College whether matriculated or occasional It is awarded to the Student who shall have executed the best series of researches in the Laboratory of King's College during the two years immediately preceding the election for six months of which time he must have been pupil in the Laboratory The next Scholarship will be awarded at Easter 1858 The Papers of all Candidates must be placed in the hands of the Secretary by four o'clock on Monday March 22 1858 after which time no document will be received Section XIII fie principal's Stephen $Iumptre antr Jiasent $rifes These prizes are open to all Matriculated Students not being Associates of this Department See pp 92 and 93 Sill flrite Dr Walter Battershell Gill an Associate of this Department gives an Annual Prize in books of the value of 31 3s to the Student who stands next in order of merit after the successful candidates for the Junior Medical Scholarships Dr ZoWs Clinical tfrtfrs The Students of the Third and Fourth Years who attend the early medical clinical visit will have the opportunity of contending for two prizes to be given by Dr Robert Bentley Todd at the end of each Winter Session the first of the value of £8 the second of the value of £4 Candidates must have attended the early clinical visit during the previous Summer and Winter Sessions except for the competition at the end of the ensuing winter 1857-58
