80 GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE cljoIar8f tp for flSo&em Sjielors antt ISnflltefi Utterature One of £30 in each year heldfor year This Scholarship is given by John Julius Stutzer Esq late Lecturer in English Literature and Modern History the fol- lowing are its conditions It is open to all Matriculated Students not being Associates of the Department of General Literature and Science who shall have completed not less than one term and not more than nine terms' attendance in the College at the date of competition It is to be held for one year if the Scholar shall remain Matriculated Student or become an Associate of King's Col- lege London or if he shall pursue his studies at the Univer- sities of Oxford Cambridge or Durham No Student can be elected to this Scholarship more than twice The Examination will take place at the beginning of the Easter Term and will consist of papers of questions upon Modern History and English Literature The next Examination for this Scholarship will take place on Wednesday April 22 1857 The names of all Candidates must be sent in writing to the Secretary and the fees for the Easter Term paid before four o'clock on Wednesday April 15 1857 after which hour no name will be received The follow- ing will be the subjects of examination The Reign of Philip II The English Commonwealth Spenser's Faery Queen as illustrating the reign of the Tudors This Scholarship will not be given after the YEAR 1857 Dttniuty Scfiolarsfjip One of £30 in each year held for year This Scholarship is open to all Matriculated Students not being Associates and not belonging to the Theological
