MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 159 Special Certificates or Merit are also awarded to those Pupils who are most distinguished in the written examinations held in the several classes during the Winter and Summer Sessions The next Examination for Prizes in the subjects of the Winter Session will commence on Friday March 27 1857 Candidates must deliver their names to the Dean not later than one o'clock on Saturday March 14 1857 specifying the subjects in which they wish to be examined the date of their entrance to the College and the number of Courses they have attended upon each subject in which they wish to be examined The next Examination for Prizes in the subjects of the Summer Session will commence on Monday July 20 1857 Candidates are required to deliver their names to the Dean in the manner described in the preceding clause before one o'clock on Monday July 13 1857 -Certificates of attendance upon the different courses of Lectures at the College and Hospital may be obtained by application to the Secretary of the College and the payment of fee of 6d for each Certificate Section XV CTImiral CletSs Dressers $f gstrtans' assistant Souse Stireeon &e All appointments to these offices are made by tbe Council of King's College London upon the recommendation of the Medical Officers of the Hospital The examinations take place at the College Examinations of candidates to fill these offices are held during the last week in March and the third week in Oc- tober of each year The appointments severally take effect from the 1st May and the 1st November following No Student shall under any circumstances be admitted as candidate for any of these offices whose character and conduct shall not have been approved of by the Principal
