MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 147 Sia&antefotJr 5n' iEntrotoment These Prizes were founded by the Rev Dr Warneford for the encouragement of the study of Theology among tl Matriculated Medical Students of King's CoUege There are two Prizes the first consisting of medal of the value often pounds and books of the value of fifteen pounds the second consisting of medal of the value of five pounds mi books of the value of ten pounds The Candidates for these Prizes are examined in-1 Two of the branches of Medical Science taught in the CoUege to be selected by the Candidates want of sufficient knowledge in the Medical part will disqualify for examination in the Theological The Holy Scriptures Butler's Analogy All Candidates for either of these Prizes must produce Cer- tificates of having regularly attended the daily service of the College Chapel as weU as Certificates of having passed two of the Terminal Examinations mentioned at page 119 No one can be Candidate who has exceeded his fourth year of attendance at the Medical Lectures of the College and no Student who has obtained the first Prize in one year can be Candidate in any subsequent year The next Examination will take place on Friday and Saturday Oct 10 and 11 1856 on the first day in Medicine on the second day in Theology The names of all Candidates must be sent in writing to the Secretary before one o'clock on Saturday October 1856 after which hour no name will be received The subjects for the Divinity part of this Examination in 1856 wiU be- The Gospel according to St John Blunt's Scriptural Coincidences Parts and II Bishop Butler's Analogy Part Chap iv vi Part II Chap iii iv vii TL
