medical department 155 Ν Β -Attendance on Course or Courses of Lectures on Botany or Chemistry by Pupil of any other Department of the College whether Matriculated or Occasional does not prevent such Pupil if he afterwards enter as Medical Student from competing for the Medical Scholarships with Students of the same standing in the Medical Department as himself Daniell $rfjoIar5f tp This Scholarship has been founded in honour of the late Daniel Esq Professor of Chemistry in this College Its object is to encourage the prosecution of original research in Chemistry This Scholarship is of the annual value of 20 and is tenable for two years It is given every second year and is open to every Student of the College whether matriculated or occasional It is awarded to the Student who shall have executed the best series of researches in the Laboratory of King's College during the two years immediately preceding the election for six months of which time he must have been pupil in the Laboratory The next Scholarship will be awarded at Easter 1856 The Papers of all Candidates must be placed in the hands of the Secretary by four o'clock on Friday March 28th 185G after which time no document will be received Section XIII Cf JHrpIjrn fHumptrr ant Dasntt 13n rs These prizes are open to all Matriculated Students not being Associates of this Department See pp 77 78 and 83 ill I3rije Dr Walter Battershell Gill an Associate of this Department has signified his intention of giving an Annual Prize in books of the value of 'is to the Student who shall stand next in order of merit after the successful candidates for the Junior Medical Scholarships
