applied sciences 97 Section II museums Museum of King George the Third Curator Timme Esq Her Majesty the Queen having been graciously pleased to confer upon King's College the valuable Collection of Me- chanical Models and Philosophical Instruments formed by His Majesty King George the Third suitable room has been fitted up for its reception Extensive additions have been made to this Museum by the Council and by the donations of private individuals and the Calculating Machine of Mr Babbagc has been deposited in it by the Commissioners of Her Majesty's Woods and Forests Valuable collections of Minerals of Geological specimens and of Chemical productions both natural and artificial as well as illustrations of the different processes of Manufactures in their various stages are also open to Students during Term See page 127 Section III regulations respecting students The days fixed for the admission of new Students in th& Academical year 1854-5 are Wednesday October Wednes- day January 24 and Tuesday April 17 but it is better to pay the fees previously to these days The Students received into this Department are- Matriculated Students or those admitted to the regular and full prescribed course of study Each Candidate for Matriculation must produce testi- monial of good character from his last instructor and when admitted by the Principal he must subscribe his name to Declaration that he will conform to all the Rules and Regulations which may from time to time be prescribed
