73 GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE Junior rrfiolarefjips Two in each year of £20 each tenable for Two Years These Scholarships are open First to all Matriculated Students of this Department who have not completed five Terms either in this Depart- ment or in this Department and in that of the Applied Sciences taken together And secondlv To all Pupils of King's College School or of one of the Schools in union with the College who have been two years in such School and have attained the age of six- teen Such Candidates however if successful must immediately matriculate at the College One of these Scholarships will be given for proficiency Classics an Examination in the first three Hooks of Euclid in Arithmetic and in Algebra as far as Simple Equations having first been satisfactorily passed The other Scholarship will be given for proficiency in Mathematics an Examination in one Greek and one Latin Author previously fixed upon having first been satisfactorily passed These two Scholarships are tenable together and can be held only so long as the Scholar continues to attend lectures as Matriculated Student of the College Student holding Junior Scholarship resigns the same should he succeed in gaining Senior Scholarship The next vmiination both for the Senior and Junior Scho- larships will take place upon the following days Saturday 17th March LSjj Divinity Exnniiuation Monday 20th Preliminary Math Exam Tuesday 27th Preliminary Class Exam Thursday 29th Λ ן י Exam in Classics Friday 30th Saturday 31st Exam in History Monday 2d April יי Exam 111 Mathematics uesday od
