GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE g9 amination for such Scholarship but he will be placed in the Class-List according to the rank he attains in the Prize Examination detailed Report is sent at the end of each term to the parents or guardians of each Student both as to his progress and as to his general attention and good conduct during the Term In case of Student being absent from the College without permission from the Principal or without notice being sent to the Secretary letter is immediately addressed to the parent or guardian notifying the fact The General Library is open daily to all Students for the purposes of study See Regulations page 39 limited number of Students arc admitted to reside within the College see page 240 and some of the Professors as well as others connected with the College receive Students in their own houses See page 243 Dinner is provided in the College Hall every day at Six o'clock for such Students as may wish to avail themselves of this accommodation See page 244 II Occasional Students or those who being unable to attend the whole course are desirous of studying any par- ticular subject Every class is open to such Students on payment of the specified amount of fees Section III THE ASSOCIATESHIP Students who have pursued their studies in this Depart- mcnt with credit for three years who have been regular in their attendance at Chapel and at the Divinity Lectures and have also attended one extra Course of Lectures are entitled to be recommended to the Council for election as Associates of King's College See 262 for the privileges of an Associate II It will suffice that Student applying for the Associate- ship shall have passed two years in the Department to which he belongs at the time of his application provided he have passed one year previously in any other Department of the College
