MILITARY DEPARTMENT 191 The subjects of instruction are Vide Confidential Memo- randum Horse Guards July 1851 FEES PER Tl KM £ History and Geography Geometry Mensuration and Plane Trigonometry Surveying and Reconnoitring Plan Drawing Fortification Manufacture of Ordnance Combustibles &c Gunnery Con- struction of Field Works and Hridges Forms and Proceedings of Courts Martial Military Law Captain Griffiths gives his personal superintendence to Oilieers attending this Class on Monday Thursday and Saturday from 10 to 12י but the Drawing Room is open daily from 10 to to those wishing to make use of it The other Classes in this Department are open to any Officer who may wish to attend more than the above specified subjects For the Fees to be paid see above Section VI the associatesiiip Students whose general conduct has been satisfactory who have been regular in their attendance at Chapel and at the Divinity Lectures and who have pursued their studies in this Department with credit for three years or who after having attended two years have passed their examination for admission to the army with credit are entitled to be recom- mended to the Council for election as Associates of King's College Sec page 262 for the privileges of an Associate II It will suilice that Student applying for the Associate- ship shall have passed two years in the Department to which he belongs at the time of the application provided he have passed one year previously in any other Department of the College III The term of study in the College required to gain the Assoeiatcship from the Department of Military Science is reduced to ttco years in the case of those Students who have
