1-16 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT Class II For the Encouragement of Resident Medical Students One Scholarship is awarded at the close of each Summer Session of the value of £25 per annum to be held for two years subject to the provisions hereafter stated and as often as the Council has accumulated the sum of £50 by means of lapsed and forfeited Scholarships or of interest on the 1WARNEFORD King's College Scholarship" funds in their possession an additional Scholarship of t'25 per annum for two years is given after due notice In July 1855 one regular Scholarship and two extra Scholar- ships will be awarded on this foundation These Scholarships will be open to all Second Year Maim a- lated Students of the Medical Department being also perpetual Pupils of the Hospital who during At least Six Months of their First Academical Yean and have The whole of their Second Academical Year resided within the limits of the College or in the case of the two extra Scholarships in the house of some one of the Physicians or Surgeons who are authorized by the Council to receive under an approved course of discipline Medical Students into their houses as Boarders and who shall pro- duce to the Principal the following certificates viz of good conduct from the Censor or from the Physician or Surgeon with whom they have been residing of regular attendance on the Sunday and Daily Chapel Service and on the Divinity Lectures from the Chaplain and of satisfactory attention to the regular Medical studies from the Dean of the Department The Examinations for 1855 will be in the following subjects In the event of success such Students may be required by the Couneil thenceforward to reside in College
