applied sciences Λ limited number of Students arc admitted to reside within the College see page 240 and some of the Gentlemen con ן ncctcd with this Department receive Students into their houses ן See page 243 Dinner is provided in the College Hall every day at Six o'clock for such Students as may wish to avail themselves of that accommodation See page 244 II Occasional Students or those who being unable to attend the whole Course are desirous of studying any par- ticular subject Every Class is open to such Students on payment of the specified amount of fees Section IV the associateship Students whose general conduct has been satisfactory who have been regular in their attendance at Chapel and at the Divinity Lectures and who have pursued their studies in this Department with credit for three years are entitled to be י recommended to the Council for election as Associates of King's ן College See page 2G2 for the privileges of an Associate II It will suffice that Student applying for the Associate- ship shall have passed two years in the Department to which he belongs at the time of the application provided he have passed one year previously in any other Department of the College III The term of study in the College required to gain the Associateship from the Department of Applied Sciences is reduced to two years in the case of those Students who have previously passed two years in King's College School and who had reached the Upper Sixth Class before leaving it In this case however the candidate for the Associateship must bring Certificate of having attended the Classes of the Arts of Construction and of Practical Chemistry for one year and must have paid the fees of these Classes for one year in addition to his other fees IV An Associate cannot be elected Scholar or obtain Prize in the Department in which he gained his Associateshiu
