OS GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE attend the whole course are desirous of studying any par- ticular subject Every class is open to such Students on payment of the specified amount of fees The regular Course of Instruction in this Department carrn the Student through three Academical Years Each War con- sists of Three Terms viz Michaelmas Term from the beginning of October to the week before Christmas Lent Term from the middle of January to the week before Easter Easter Term from Easter to the end of June There is special Examination every year at Easter for all Students of Four Five and Six Terms standing and there are also examinations for all Students at the end of the Michaelmas and Easter Terms At these Examinations the Students are classed according to their proficiency The Examination in June is followed by public Distribution of Prizes Student who is elected to any of the Scholar- ships of this Department is thereby disqualified from receiving Prize during the Academical Year in which he is elected in any subject which may be included in the examination for such Scholarship but he will be placed in the Class-List according to the rank he attains in the Prize Examination detailed Report is sent at the end of each term to the parents or guardians of each Student both as to his progress andasto his general attention andgoodeonductduiingthe Term The General Library is open daily to all Students for the purposes of study See Regulations page 223 limited number of Students are admitted to reside ithin the College see page 224 and some of the Professors as will as others connected with the College receive Students in their own houses See page 227 Dinner is provided in the College Hall every day at Six o'clock for such Students as may wish to avail themselves of this accommodation See page 228 Section III THE ASSOCIATESHIP Students who have pursued their studies in this Depart- ment with credit for three years who have been regular in their attendance at Chapel and at the Divinity Lectures and have
