1 10 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT resided within the limits of the College and who shall produce to the Principal the following certificates viz of good conduct from the Censor of regular attendance on the Sunday and Daily Chapel Service and on the Divinity Lectures from the Chaplain and of satisfactory attention to the regular Medical studies from the Dean of the Depart- ment The Examinations are in the following subjects An assigned portion of the Holy Scriptures and of Butler's Analogy Bishop Nicholson on the Church Catechism II Candidates will be required at the time of examination To write from memory the particulars of four cases which shall have been treated in the Hospital during the previous Academical Year Each Can- didate may select his own cases but no two cases selected by him may be taken from the practice of the same Physician or Surgeon To give in writing with the aid of notes taken by himself at the time the substance of four of the Clinical Lectures which shall havebeen delivered in the Hospital by the Medical Officers thereof during the previous Academical Year The cases to be selected by the Examiners To answer either viva voce or in writing as the Examiners may direct four questions on cases which shall have occurred or been treated within the Hospital in the practice of the Physicians and Surgeons thereof in the current Session An equal number of marks is assigned to each of the two great divisions of the Examination viz Divinity and Hospital Practice but want of sufficient knowledge in Divinity abso- lutely disqualifies from further examination One hundred marks are in the examination assigned to each of the great subjects and no Scholarship will be awarded to any Candidate who does not obtain an aggregate number of marks equal to two-thirds of the whole
