13S medical department of satisfactory progress in bis Religious and Medical studies during the year then past The Scholarship will become void at the close of the Academical Year in which such Certificate is not obtained Every Warneford Scholar of this Class is required to com- pete for the ordinary Medical Scholarships of his year and the Dean's Certificate of progress in Medical studies will be made dependent upon his getting an aggregate of one-half the marks assigned to the several papers in that examination These Scholarships are tenable with any other King's College Scholarship The subjects for examination in 1853 will be as follows Divinity -The Books of Numbers and Deuteronomy with the Marginal References The Gospel according to St Matthew Bishop Nicholson on the Church Catechism The Greek and Latin Classics -Homer Odyssee Book XI Livv Book III English History -England in the Reign of Charles Mathematics -Arithmetic Algebra as far as Quadratic Equations Euclid Book Book II except Props 10 Book III The Modem Languages Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme by Moliere Schiller's Wilhelm Tell The days of Examination for 1853 are fixed as follows Friday September 30 Ο Hivtmitv lumr 10 eac11 of tlle tl1ree subjects ιυ VIYUVAX with short intermissions to French to German Saturday October to 10 Latin 10$ to 12 Greek to History Monday October 10 to Mathematics
