146 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT Candidates must also have regularly attended the weekly Examinations in the several classes during the preceding Session The next Examination for Prizes in the subjects of the Winter Session will commence on Monday March 29 1852 Candidates must deliver their names to the Dean not later than one o'clock on Monday March 22 1852 specifying the subjects in which they wish to be examined the date of their entrance to the College and the number of Cour es they have attended upon each subject in which they wish to be examined The next Examination for Prizes in the subjects of the Summer Session will commence on Monday July 26th 1852 Candidates are required to deliver their names to the Dean in the manner described in the preceding clause before one o'clock on Monday July 19th 1852 Section XIII Regulations for the Examination and Appointment of Clinical Clerks Dressers Physicians' Assistant and House Surgeon No Student shall under any circumstances be admitted as candidate for any of the above offices whose character or conduct shall not have been approved of by the medical officers generally On the occurrence of vacancy in any of the above offices notices thereof shall be posted one week before the examina- tion of candidates to fill such vacancy Candidates must send in their names to the Secretary of the Hospital at least the day before that appointed for the examination Examinations of candidates to fill all the above offices shall be held during the last week in April and the last week in October of each year The appointments shall severally take effect from the 1st May and the 1st November respectively fol- lowing In case of vacancy occurring in the meantime from some unavoidable cause such vacancy shall be temporarily tilled up by the medical officers after the usual examination
