06 GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE The following will be the subjects for this Examination in October 1850 The Minor Prophets with Marginal References to the New Testament The Book of Jonah in Hebrew See note at page 65 The Gospel according to St Luke in Greek Butler's Analogy Part II Chaps II VIi Hooker's Ecclesiastical Polity Book The Book of Common Prayer with Berens' History of the Prayer-book senior £rf 01atsf ips Two in each year of £30 each tenable for Three Years These Scholarships are open to all Matriculated Students of this Department who have completed three Terms and have not exceeded nine Terms One Scholarship will be given for proficiency in Classics an Examination in the first three Books of Euclid in Arith- metic and in Algebra as far as Simple Equations having first been satisfactorily passed The other Scholarship will be given for proficiency in Mathe- matics an Examination in one Greek and one Latin Author previously fixed upon having first been satisfactorily passed These two Scholarships are tenable together and may be held for three years if the Scholar shall remain Student or become an Associate of King's College or if he shall pursue his studies at the Universities of Oxford Cambridge or Durham Humor rfjolarsfMpe Two in each year of HQ each tenable for Two Years These Scholarships are open First to all Matriculated Students of this Department who have not completed live Terms
