GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE 05 SCHOLARSHIPS Good conduct and competent knowledge of such subjects in Divinity as shall be previously fixed upon are indispensable for the admission of any Student or Pupil to be Candidate for Scholarship in this College Every Scholarship is held subject to forfeiture for mis- conduct In case there should be no candidate of sufficient merit in any year the Scholarship of that year will not be awarded Dibiiutj Srfjolarsfjtp One of £30 in each year This Scholarship is open to all Matriculated Students of this Department who have completed three Terms as well as to all Students who have left the College or who have become Associates at the close of the Easter Term preceding each examination The next Examination will take place on Thurs- day October 11th 1819 in the following subjects The Book of Psalms with Marginal References to the New Testament Psalms XVI XXII XLV and LXXII in Hebrew The Gospel according to St John in Greek Davison on Prophecy The first Six Discourses Pearson on the Creed Article The Boole of Common Prayer The Names of all Candidates must be sent to the Principal before one o'clock on Thursday th October next after which hour no name will be received No Student can be elected to this Scholarship more than twice Students of the Medical Department of the Department of Applied Sciences and of the Military Department have the option of bringing up these Psalms in German instead of in Hebrew Ε
