11s MEDICAL DEPARTMENT in each of the first three subjects and one gold medal of the same value in the last named subject The second Examination takes place yearly on the first Monday in November each year Certificates are required of having passed the first Examination at least two years before and having subsequently attended course of Lectures on two of the subjects named above for which the Candidate had not presented Certificates at the first Examination of having subsequently to the first El t- mination Dissected during six mouths conducted six Labours attended the Surgical Practice of Hospital during twelve months and Lectures ou Clinical Surgery attended the Medical Practice of Hospital during other twelve months and Lectures on Clinical Medicine and subsequently to the coinple- tiou of this attendance on Hospital Practice of having attended to Practical Medicine in an Hospital Infirmary or Dispensary duriug six months IVr- tificate of Moral Character is likewise required Candidates will be examined in Physiology including comparative Anatomy Geueral Pathology General Therapeutics Hygiene Surgery Medicine Midwifery Forensic Medicine Any one placed in the First Division in this Examination may go in for honours during the following week The subjects are -Physiology and Com- parative Anatomy Surgery Medicine Midwifery Scholarship of 501 per annum for two years and two gold medals 01 the value of ot each are given jn each of the first three of these subjects and ouc gold medal of the value of in the last named subject Doctor of Medicine The Examination takes place on the fourth Monday in November each year Certificates are required of having-1 Taken the Degree of Bachelor of Mcdiciue in this University or degree in Medicine or in Surgery at recog- niscd University if not in the University of Loudon they must also produce Certificate of having completed their twenty-third year Of having sub- queutly attended to Clinical or Practical Medicine during two years in recognised Medical Institution ΰ or to Clinical or Practical Medicine during one year in recognised Medical Institution and of having practised his pro- fessiou during three years or if he has taken the Degree of in this University of having been engaged during five years in the practice of his pro- fessiou One year of attendance on Clinical or Practical Medicine or two years of Practice dispensed with in the case of those who at the second Eg&I&ia&tion have been placed iu lie First Division Of Moral Character signed by two persons of respectability Candidates shall be examined in the following subjects -Elements of Intel- lectual Philosophy Logic and Moral Philosophy Medicine and shall write Commentary 011 some case in Medicine Surgery or Midwifery at their own
