Μ Ε DICAL DEP Α Η Τ Μ Ε Ν Τ the practice of medicine required shall have relation chiefly to the diseases of women and children The examination in anatomy to be viva voce-in the other subjects written They shall serve for six months and shall attend regularly at the respective hours and on the days of the physician under whom they are appointed They shall register the out-patient- under the direction of their respective physicians and take care that the dressing &c ordered by them is performed In the absence from illness of any Out-Paticnt Clinical Clerk his place shall be supplied by candidate who has passed the examination or failing any such by some student approved by the physicians In-Patient Clinical Clerks -There shall be four In-Paticnt Clinical Clerks two for each physician Candidates shall have attended six months' in-patient medical practice The examina-- tion shall he viva voce and written the former in anatomy and morbid anatomy-the latter in materia medica ami the prac- tice of medicine Candidates shall also take case or cases chosen by the physicians from patients in the house at the time of examination The most proficient candidate shall be elected but in case of equality the preference shall be given to those who shall have served the office of Out-Patient Clinical Clerk to the satisfaction of the physicians for the full period of six months In-Patient Clinical Clerks shall serve for six months tlu shall attend regularly at the hour appointed accompany the physician during his visit and keep correct report of all the cases belonging to the physician under whom they respectively serve On the taking-in days of their respective physicians the senior Clinical Clerks shall be ready to undertake the duties of Physicians' Assistant during his absence frohi the Hospital Physicians' Assistant -He shall be qualified by some diploma to practise medicine and shall have served to the satisfaction of the physicians the office of In-Patient Clinical Clerk for the full period of six months He shall previously to his appoint- ment produce certificate of moral character to the satis-
