APPLIED SCIENCES 75 year consists of Three Terms viz Michaelmas Term from Hie beginning of October to the week before Christmas Lent Term from the middle of January to the week before Easter Easter Term from Easter to the beginning of July At the beginning of every Term each Student must take his card of admission to the Dean to be countersigned and re- gistered There are Examinations at the end of the Michaelmas and Easter Terms when the Students are classed according to pro- iiciency The Examination in June is followed by public Distribution of Prizes detailed Report is sent at the end of each term to the parents or guardians of each Student both as to his progress and as to his general attention and good conduct during the Term The General Library is open daily to all Students for the purposes of study See Regulations page 165 Dinner is provided in the College Hall every day at Six o'clock for such Students as may wish to avail themselves of that accommodation See age 170 limited number of Students arc admitted to reside within the College see page 166 and some of the Gentlemen con- nected with this Department receive Students into their house See page Ji Section IV THE ASSOCIATESH1P Students whose general conduct has been satisfactory who have been regular in their attendance at Chapel and at the Divinity Lectures and who have pursued their studies in this Department with credit for three years are entitled to be recommended to the Council for election as Associates of King's College See page 178 for the privileges of an Associate The term of three years' study is however reduced to two years in the case of those Students who have previously passed two years either in King's College School or in one of the Schools in union and who had reached the head Class in such
