71 APPLIED SCIENCES Calculating Machine of Mr Babbage has been deposited in it by the Commissioners of Her Majesty's Woods and Forests The Museum is open to Students daily from 12 to 12 Wednesday excepted and to visitors every Saturday during Term from Ten to Four o'clock Valuable collections of Minerals of Geological specimens and of Chemical productions both natural and artificial as well as illustrations of the different processes of Manufactures in their various stages are also open to Students during Term See page 112 Section III regulations respecting students The Students received into this Department are- Matriculated Students or those admitted to the regular and full prescribed course of study Fach Candidate for Matri- dilation must produce testimonial of good character from his last instiiuior and when admitted by the Principal he must subscribe his name to Declaration that he will conform to all the Utiles and Regulations which may from time to time be prescribed for the good government of the College under the sanction and authority of the Council Matricu- lated Students wear cap and gown and with the exception of the Daniell Scholarship which is open to all Students alone have the privilege of contending for Scholarships Occasional Students or those who enter to one or more particular Classes Every Class is open to such Students on payment of the specified amount of fees The general age for admission into this Department 18 Sixteen and no one under this age is received except by the special permission of the Principal The full course of study which each Student is recommended to pursue carries him through three Academical Years The
